About

Hi! I’ll tell you something about me. Firstly, I hail from New Delhi, the capital of India. Call it a developing nation, but everyone has a mobile, and hardly any youngsters are without iPods or other music players.
Enough about India, you can find enough about it by Googling. I’m 14, and I’ve just started blogging. I’ve chosen the name ‘The Tech Nut’, because my life is so entwined with technology, that every now and then I come up with something and want to share it with someone
I study at Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj, and there’s a group of people in my school known as the Code Warriors. I’m a proud member. We go for computer symposiums all over Delhi, and win quite a few. You see, in Delhi, we have lots of private schools, and the big ones host such competitions annually.
I love technology, I love computers. I love fiddling with a computer, be it hardware, BIOS, drivers, or something else. I’m also an audiophile. Love to get the sound just right. But I’ve got a pathetic set of 2.1 speakers connected to my PC, by an unknown company called Typhoon. The bass requires 2 equalizers to come right, and the highs are well…….just too high!
I love messing with Windows. I use Process Explorer, and recommend it to others, even amateurs, as it is self-explanatory. I like exploring the registry. And, above all, I love to solve practical problems on computers. It gives me a high to solve a problem, it’s inexplicable.
I’m a major bass freak. I have a nice Sony mini hi-fi Audio system at home, which has 2 woofers, which I love.
I have a nVidia 6600GT with 256MB, which is considered a luxury, by most, in India. It plays all my games very well. I demand 60fps from all my games, and am willing to sacrifice resolution. I also demand high quality, so I lower the resolution. I love to tweak with the control panel software I got with my graphics card driver.
I love to read books too. Have read all Harry Potters, the Lord of the Rings, and well … can’t name all of them, can I?
I’m also into video editing. I made a video for Code Wars 2006. Watch it here. I basically use Adobe AfterEffects 7.0. I also like Photoshop. Nothing professional, just messing around.
That pretty much rounds up what you need to know about me. Go ahead, read the blog.
